OUR MISSION
OUR STORY
Waymarker Press began with one novel and one question — what if a story could reach readers in forty cities in forty countries at once? What if a story could be written in a manner where its global audience was intimately included?
We are a creative collective built to support and empower independent authors through the self-publishing process. We believe in bringing work directly to readers — no gatekeepers, no intermediaries.
Our mission is to seek out global storytellers and build a community of creatives who champion and support each other's work.
We believe stories cross every border that divides us. We publish voices from everywhere, for everyone, in pursuit of new paths in global storytelling.
THE BUSINESS
Waymarker Press is an experiment in community. We are a creative collective — a temporary home and a shared platform for emerging writers, poets, and essayists who are making their way toward whatever success looks like for them.
We don't manage finances. We don't sell advertising. We don't sign contracts or claim ownership of anyone's work. What we offer is simpler and rarer — a place on the path. A collective of artists who agree to travel together for a time, support each other's work, and part ways when a new path opens.
Traditional publishing, independent success, or something no one has named yet — Waymarker Press exists to help you get there.
CORE VALUES
Intellectual Freedom:
We believe writers have the right to explore difficult ideas and readers have the right to encounter them.
Diverse Narratives:
We are building a global community of novelists, poets, essayists, and storytellers. Every voice, every culture, every corner of the world has a story worth telling and a reader worth reaching.
Creative Freedom:
We believe in the writer's right to create without limitation — and that every tool, old or new, has value in the hands of a storyteller.
